About Us

Justin and Angela Rothwell began the Rothwell Swim Academy in 2002 at the Guildford Swim Centre, and in 2004 at the Ashfield Aquatic Centre.

Justin has been coaching since 1991 and has a silver swim coaching licence. He has coached local, state, national and international athletes, from development carnivals to World Championships events. Justin was also head coach of the Sydney South West Academy Sport 2000-2002 and NSW head swim coach - Silver Squad 2003/04, Gold Squad 2004/05. Justin has coached swimming teams to the number one position in NSW.  Justin was an Australian Swimming Coach for the 2006 Commonwealth Games, and also worked with the Australian team on the National event Swimming Camps 2006/07.

Angela has been swim teaching and coaching since 1996. Angela has a silver coaching licence and Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certificates. Angela teaches infants, pre-school, school age and people with disabilities. Angela also teaches the Austswim and Royal Life Saving Society courses.

Justin and Angela believe that learning to swim is essential for a fun, enjoyable and safe experience in and around water. Being associated with Swim Australia, Austswim and the Royal Life Saving Society, we endeavour to ensure that your experience is an enjoyable and safe one.
